ABSTRACT

Extensive use of peptide receptor radionuclide therapy has improved survival and quality of life in patients with neuroendocrine tumor. Even though these results, treatment resistance can be observed in aggressive tumors. The usage of somatostatin derivatives labeled with alpha particle emitting radioelement may be a promising alternative in resistant patients. Among the available alpha particle emitting radioelements, Ac-225 emerges as one of the most suitable candidate, especially in terms of its physical and radiochemical properties.
