ABSTRACT

The goal of this guideline is to give advice to nuclear medicine specialists on how to treat hyperthyroidism with radioiodine and which doses should be used for treatment. The recommendations given below were developed based on the relevant literature and experience of the members of the study group. The guideline includes indications and contraindications for therapy and essential procedures before and after therapy. The possible alternative treatment options are also discussed.
