ABSTRACT

This guideline summarizes our recent knowledge and the opinions of the Brain Interest group, created by the Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine, about how to perform F-18 FDG brain imaging briefly. The aim of this guideline is to help to generate similar results by providing a standardized approach in F-18 FDG brain imaging with common protocols and report sampling. This guideline contains information of previous guidelines by the Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine latest versions and additionally updated parameters about new hybrid modalities (PET/CT and PET/MR). The information about the imaging modalities, applications, and reporting details are summarized in this guideline and the recommendations are composed according to the laws and regulations in our country.
