ABSTRACT

Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) has become one of the most precise imaging modalities for radiotherapy applications shortly after its invention. In daily radiotherapy practice PET/CT is frequently used in diagnosis, staging, planning and follow-up of patients. Collaboration between Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Oncology is essential during purchase, installation and usage of PET/CT to get the maximum benefit for the patients.

Keywords:
PET/CT, radiotherapy, radiotherapy planning
