ABSTRACT
Hemodialysis patients with end stage renal disease may rarely need to receive radionuclide therapy and the staff caring those patients in hemodialysis units may be exposed to radiation temporarily emitted or become contaminated with the radioactive body fluids from these patients as a potential source of radioactivity. This guideline includes recommendations for the staff of hemodialysis units who are responsible from the care of radioactive hemodialysis patients after radionuclide treatment.
