Abstract
All activities involving the use of ionizing radiation are conducted in accordance with the regulations and guidelines established by regulatory authorities. In our country, Nuclear Medicine practices are carried out under a license issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority. Globally, the rules for protection against ionizing radiation are determined by the International Commission on Radiological Protection and are communicated to member countries as advisory guidelines. Radiation protection regulations are categorized separately for personnel and patients. In this article, radiation protection rules are reported in two separate categories for staff and patients.
