ABSTRACT

Sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping and biopsy procedures have been used in gynecological malignities for some decades. Growing experience enables these procedures to get into clinical practice in endometrial, cervical, and vulvar carcinomas. For vaginal and ovarian cancers, more studies are needed. In this review, the evaluation of SLN procedures are handled through technical aspects and results of clinical studies.
