ABSTRACT
Radiopharmacy laboratory (hot laboratory) is a laboratory where radiopharmaceuticals are prepared, stored and patient doses are dispensed in accordance with the radiation safety and aseptic working rules. Although differences are observed in the rules for design of radiopharmacy laboratory among various countries, in general the good manufacturing practices, aseptic working conditions and radiation safety principles should all be taken into consideration. A design that is in compliance with all regulations should be realized by considering also the type and activity of the radionuclides to be used, planned activities, location and dimensions.
