ABSTRACT

The results of the Human Genome Project have enabled researchers to identify the molecular features and major pathways that are responsible for tumour development. This has led to major progress in the personalised cancer treatment. The main goal of personalised cancer management is to select patients who will benefit from targeted therapies based on the results of biological or molecular tests of the individual tumour. In this review, personalised treatment modalities in frequent cancers are discussed.
