ABSTRACT

Nuclear medicine studies are non-invasive, simple, functional diagnostic investigations that can be used in all ages of childhood even in the neonatal period. While dynamic renal scintigraphy has been a well-established method common in practice, there have been still remaining issues and discussions in imaging, analysis or reporting of these studies. In the recent article, the contribution of diuretic renal scintigraphy has been reviewed in the diagnostic evaluation and clinical follow-up of children with antenatal hydronephrosis with respect to updated literature.
